Mostafa Salari Rad

Tools

I build open tools that take behavioral research out of the lab: design and run studies in the browser, and collect real-world data from wearables. Demos and details are on cut.social.

Jamasp

Current

Recruits people who already own wearables and collects their heart rate, sleep, and activity data, from consent through to an analysis-ready database.

In a 65-day pilot with 41 Fitbit owners recruited through Prolific, Jamasp kept data completeness high across all three streams.

Lens

Co-creator, 2018–present

Mix surveys with interactive tasks, from risk and inhibition to memory and economic games, in one study file that runs in any browser, in any language. Funded by The New School, APS, and the Templeton World Charity Foundation, and used across my Ramadan studies.

Cut

2014–2018, Lens's predecessor

A full experiment platform with real-time multiplayer games: participants were matched live for ultimatum and dictator games, with configurable bots stepping in when no partner was available. It also included a visual study designer, Mechanical Turk management, and multilingual support. It ran our early Ramadan studies and a 2016 election study.
